Roles and Responsibilities

Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans conferring with management.

Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and reviewing bids from contractors.

Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.

Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.

Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.

Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.

Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.

Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

Deciding on the most appropriate engineering techniques and sequences of activities for each project stage

Desired Candidate Profile:

B. Tech / BE in civil engineering

Minimum 20 years of Experience

(Successfully completion of at least 2 National / State highway projects in the capacity of Project Incharge)

Working on new highway project will be an added advantage

Exposure in handling controlled access National or State highway projects.

Exposure in handling Government agencies and clients.

Experience of leading team of managers & engineers for deriving expected results.

Thorough knowledge of the project commercials and contracts.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to deliver to set deadlines

Ability for resource mobilization and utilization.

Knowledge of all statutes for highway industry.

Strong interpersonal and statistical analysis skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
