The Magento Front-End Senior Developer is to develop and provide overall technical solutions and rich user experiences leveraging the Magento Commerce platform. Dev is expected to actively participate in various stages of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.

Job responsibilities:

• Magento theming. Implement responsive UI/UX designs utilizing HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, AJAX and other technologies.
• Design graphics and responsive layouts with a strong focus on the user experience.
• Perform a mix of front-end (major) and some back-end (minor) development on an existing Magento site.
• Deploy code across development, staging and production environments.
• Customise Magento's front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates.
• Integration with server-side code to produce dynamic, responsive pages.
• Work collaboratively with backend developers to integrate business rule and modular logic whilst mentioning the aesthetic attributes of interface feel and finest user-experience.
• Follows Magento coding guidelines and best practices.
• Write secure, robust code and exercise good judgment in handling sensitive data.

Desired skills and experience:

• Excellent understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3+.
• Good experience with server-side CSS pre-processors LESS and SASS.
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and Javascript frameworks, including jQuery, RequireJS and KnockoutJS.
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Thorough knowledge of vanilla Magento feature set and configuration
• Proficient in Magento theme development and experience to use page builder for CMS page designing.
• Knowledge of multiple e-commerce integration. Understanding of Magento's code structure, extension architecture, and theming hierarchy.
• Strong widget development skills for Magento.
• Exceptional problem solving and debugging skills in both PHP and Javascript.
• Ability to collaborate with designers and other developers to build e-commerce website features.
• Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices.
