Responsibilities:

This position will:

• Must have a hands-on experience of system administration of Windows server side infrastructure (Windows 2008/R2, 2012, 2016, Active Directory, Server Hardware etc.) and associated technologies e.g. DNS, DHCP, WINS and Group Policies Strong plus for candidate having working (configure and troubleshoot) experience on breadth of technologies e.g. terminal servers, windows clustering, MS NLB, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS etc.
• Strong plus for experience with various blade systems (IBM, HP, DELL, UCS, etc.)
• Must have experienced with On-prem EX/EXO and Skype for business
• Must have experienced with Microsoft SQL database, backup technologies and storage environments.
• Own server issues outside of, or unresolvable by, L2 team skill sets
• Provide recommendations for configuration or other improvements to the environment
• Perform the management of a team, conducting on e-2-ones, performance reviews, developing training plans, quality assurance, coaching and mentoring.
• Plan, schedule and control the support resource.
• Attend Change Control Board meetings when Responsible for the maintenance of technical procedures and processes including knowledge management.
• Contribute to the maintenance of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of IT services and business resumption in the event of a disaster.
• Able to contribute and play a vital role for P1/P2 incidents being flagged up across the group and
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge in windows 2008/2012/R2/2016 OS including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy etc.
• Experience in an IT Operations position of comparable complexity with direct reports
• On-Prem/Cloud exchange
• Skype For Business implementation and support
• Microsoft Hyper-V, inc. SCVMM with Clustering, VMWare
• PowerShell for Windows
• Server hardware configuration
• Network design principles and implementation, inc. TCP/IP, traffic routing, DNS, VLAN etc
