• Job Description

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing

mobile technologies to the limits.You will be working along-side other engineers

and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore,

commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating

quality products is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java/Kotlin code.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.
• A knack for solving complex problems without compromising on code quality and app performance.
• Collaborate with the backend team in designing API contracts.

Requirements

• Proven knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and howto deal with different screen sizes
• Proven knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as touch
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the librariesavailable for common tasks
• Knowledge of Android Architecture Components and Jetpack.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Languages(Java, Kotlin) including at least 2+years of experience in Android
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Familiarity with Firebase Analytics
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Have published at least one original Android app
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
