Senior BI Solutions Architect

Role Summary

• This role is a position in the Business Intelligence/ Data Warehouse IT team and reports to the IT Manager Business Intelligence & DW .
• The Corporate IT Team is split into Five towers and this team is part of the Global Applications Tower.
• The team comprises of Europe and India based staff and provides Corporate Business Reporting solutions and data feeds to the whole company.
• The team is currently in middle of multiyear project to replacement legacy BI solutions with new solutions based on best practice design using Microsoft tools
• The main purpose of the role is to design and build complex business intelligence report solutions for all areas of the business.

Job Description

• Responsible for the analysis, design and build of complex business intelligence (BI) reporting solutions.
• Able to lead and mentor less experienced BI professionals.
• Liaises with business stakeholders and IT management, establishing requirements and ensuring alignment with our BI architecture.
• Proactively investigates existing and emergent trends in BI technologies and reporting.

Required Skills

• Degree in IT, Finance of business administration.
• 5 to 10 years business experience in a multi-national company (ideally manufacturing).
• Ideally a BI specialist who has progressed to architect level, or is ready for the next step in their career.
• Detailed knowledge of the Microsoft BI toolset, including SSIS, SSRS, ETL, Tabular Cubes, Power BI.
• Preferably, experienced with financial consolidation tools.
• Ability to design solutions to complex business problems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrable experience managing or leading people from different countries,
