Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Warehouse/Data Lake system architecture design and implementations/ enhancements
• Support and enable Data Sciences and Business Intelligence teams with necessary data repository, pipes and regular feeds.
• Monitor data platform to ensure reliability, consistency and accuracy of information loaded into the enterprise warehouse on a regular basis
• Analyse and document source systems data domains and inter-relationships to enable rapid ingestion into warehouse/ data lake environment and provision high quality and consumable data
• Assist in the development of internal policies / procedures/ standards/ controls and metrics
• Build and maintain high performing ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes
• Seek continuous improvement in performance of the data platform load and consumption processes
• Work cross functionally to implement data driven projects
• Work with external vendors, cross functional teams and data sources as required for planning, designing, implementing, testing, rolling out and management of Data platform projects.
• Effectively communicate and document the data platform architecture utilizing industry standards
• Manage and ensure data security, quality and process controls, managing escalations and developing and recommending improvements
• Implement / follow Agile and DevOps methodology and tool sets

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience in Open Source Database and Big Data technologies like MySql, Hadoop and Hive
• Wide outlook in different technologies used for data analytic (Databases, DWH, Data Lake, Big Data, Advanced Analytics and Cloud)
• Quick leaner for gaining knowledge in new technologies
• Basic knowledge of operating with Cloud platforms
• Basic understanding of how data visualization tools interoperates with Data Platforms.
• Project Management Skills to perform incremental deliveries in an agile environment
• Knowledge of Financial Services domain will be beneficial
• Communication and people skills will be essential
• Technical Leadership experience
