Job Description ( Senior Database Administrator )

Roles and responsibilities of a Senior Database Administrator would be to work with a global team delivering and supporting technology infrastructure as we grow in the business. You will be directly involved in all kind of database projects to optimize present services working in a global production environment and will collaborate with the development team providing ongoing support and maintenance.

Successful candidates will be recognized as technical experts in the Database Administration discipline and will have the ability to articulate and demonstrate both deep and broad knowledge across multiple areas of information technology in support of a SaaS infrastructure. Responsibilities:

• working with database software to find ways to store, organize and manage data
• troubleshooting
• keeping databases up to date
• helping with database design and development
• managing database access
• designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation
• ensuring that databases meet user requirements
• liaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers, and other technical staff
• managing database security/integrity and backup procedures
• implementing security measures
• defining objectives through a consultation with staff at all levels
• writing reports, documentation, and operating manuals
• testing and modifying databases to ensure that they operate reliably
• providing user training, support, and feedback
• writing disaster recovery plans
• archiving data.
• Provide guidance and support to Application Developers
• Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
• Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations
• Write and deploy SQL patches
• Upgrade and improve application schema and data upgrades
• Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
• Develop processes for optimizing database security.
• Set and main
