About the job

Ariso is a food transparency and personal nutrition platform (first of its kind in the country). It is been 10 months since we have been working on it and now is the time we start bringing it to life. We're looking for an exceptionally driven, deterministic and always curious candidate to fill the role of Node JS Developer. You'll be working with an amazing team of business and technology professionals to create a product that literally touches life and brings about a positive impact in the lives of people.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Writing and building the code base
• Deployment of staging and production environment
• Compiling and analyzing data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
• Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
• Participating in continuing education and training to stay up to date on the best practices and learning new programming languages to better assist the team.
• Taking lead on projects when needed

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of the back-end programming language - Node JS.
• Strong understanding of AWS services.
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes.
• Data migration, transformation, and scripting.
• Setup and administration of backups.
• Outputting data in different formats.
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform.
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
