Business development Executive

Job Description

Business Development - M&A
We're looking for a high energy Individual to join our acquisitions team, managing and scaling our brand
sourcing and outreach process. As the first line of communication with prospect brands, an ideal
candidate should have a strong understanding of the acquisition process, business offerings, excelling
at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our acquisition closers up for success.


Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Learn, leverage & help evolve our brand sourcing process.
• Identify target categories, qualified brands & key decision-makers in shortlisted brands across
different ecommerce platforms.
• Cold-call or email decision-makers in prospect brands to set up exploratory calls meetings.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on brand quality and conversion. Run experiments on
different sourcing and outreach approaches.
• Handle initial contact with new prospects and build relationships through outbound
prospecting and marketing activity – digital and social media, events, campaigns, queries,
email, webinars etc – ultimately converting these to qualified opportunities.
• Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage the outreach team for
next steps.
• Identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation playbook.
• Manage the CRM for processing opportunities, tracking leads & tasks, and conducting
proactive follow-ups

Education/Experience

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior experience in Business Development. (1+yr)
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of various tools for contact finding and lead generation.
• Ability to map brands and navigate through it to find the right people to establish contact with.
• Strong desire and ability to move up and grow in the role.
