Responsibilities:

• The entire web stack i.e. front-end (HTML/CSS), back-end, writing templates and working with modern JavaScript.
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
• Taking ownership of project repositories and ensuring stability over release cycles.
• Writing code for different & diverse application frameworks (in PHP / JavaScript etc).
• Ensuring low technical debt by catching and refactoring breaches.
• Creating robust & modular templating architectures.
• Automating processes by leveraging build tools and pipelines.
• Handling, manipulating and migrating data sets between environments.
• Deploying projects on servers.
• Working with designers & managing developer hand-offs.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
• Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in back-end coding with WordPress.
• Demonstrated, excellent skills in custom theme creation & customization, plugin selection and customization
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools 
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development

Experience: 6 years (4 to 6 years of relevant experience)
