Sr. Sales Manager - Domestic (Pipeline Coating Background)

Job Description

Sales Lead Conversion

Experience : 7– 12 Years  


• Understanding and coordinate client’s needs / enhancements, customization of
the product accordingly and consult with technical team to provide solutions.
• Delivering presentations / seminars & product promotion schemes to the
prospective clients.
• Incorporation of product specifications in upcoming tenders for new projects
and existing in existing industries by being in touch with consultants & industries.
• Product approvals to be able to participate in tenders.
• Preparing and discussing techno-commercial proposals, along with
handling contract related formalities & documentation.


Post Award Functions


• Communicate the full details of the customer’s order and commitments made to
them to manufacturing, finance and site application departments
• Planning supply of materials and mobilization of manpower/ equipment with
site co-ordinator.
• Regular review with sales co-ordinator to keep track on the supply and billing
performance of the contract.
• Interacting with client for trouble shooting any technical or commercial issues.
• Follow up for payment issues with finance and customer.
• Obtain all contract closure documents from customers such as Bank
Guarantee’s etc.
• Checking on regular basis the financial performance of the contract i.e. profit/
loss against the costing prepared, together with the site coordinator. Intervene
and investigate if project not going as planned.
• Review and update costing for future projects.

Role Tasks : 

• Take over leads generated by marketing team in Water & Wastewater, Power,
Oil & Gas, Industrial B-2-B in Indian Markets.
• Technical & commercial proposals.
• Negotiations and closing orders.
• Client coordination and interface between client and operations team, logistics,
shipping agents etc.
• Contract commercial handling till completion. 

 

Education/Experience

Basic UG Qualification : Any technical or commercial degree. Must have high scores in school level science and English.

4. Persuasion skills, telephone etiquette, meeting etiquette
5. Rapport building, selling skills
6. Negotiation skills
7. Ability to get along with people to get work done

Knowledge : 

1. Commercial contracts, payments, letter of credits etc.
2. Logistics/ shipping basic
3. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Note: - We do not have any incentive part or a bonus. Every year we have an appraisal cycle which
completely depends upon the annual performance of the candidate.
