Position Title:- Labs Packet Core Support Engineer 3 Must-Have Skills 1. Mobile packer core: Mobile Data Specifically – Huawei 4G EPC MME, S-GW, P-GW, MME, SGSN, GGSN, PCRF, 2. DNS, Diameter signaling, Online charging, Cisco ePDG, 2. IP networking and transport: Knowledge in incident/ problem management tools/ HPALM. Packet capture and debugging tools like Wireshark Job Description Experience: 3-5 years Role purpose: 1. You will support Technology Labs’ Mobile Voice core network components – helping our testers, designers, and Operations to work together 2. You will ensure the timely availability of robust and proven test environments, building against a defined standard and ensuring appropriate connectivity between systems both internally and externally, applying appropriate security. Responsibilities & accountability: 1. Responsible for the completion of build, support or investigation of problems using department instructions, tools and process as a guide. 2. Maintaining SLA’s where practical and in the event that an SLA is not met, working to achieve the earliest resolution. 3. Identify technical solutions which will avoid repeated raising of work packages for similar problems, plan their potential implementation assess their impact and make the agreed changes. 4. Develop technical expertise for a specific technology area, understand how it impacts on other areas within the Test Facility and ensures that the knowledge accrued is documented. 5. Define the proactive work required in order to maintain the test estate in order that it is usable by the wider integration, test and development communities driving improvements in the team’s working and technical methods. 6. Work using local processes as a guide and implement changes in order to improve the process. Represent the team as an owner of the process. 7. Responsible to abide by and maintain company Health and Safety policy. Knowledge & experience: 1. Knowledge and experience of designing or supporting Core Network architecture and network elements. 2. Experience of monitoring/call trace systems for troubleshooting problems in the test networks. 3. Good breadth of knowledge of other technical areas of work; (e.g. Mobile Phone Network voice core, Radio Network, IP Transport, Value Added Services) 4. Understand the detail of how mobile phone mobility and session transactions are completed within the network and the systems they touch en-route.
