Job Summary Software Testers are responsible for the quality of software development and deployment. They are involved in performing automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. Some of the duties include analysis of software, and systems, mitigate risk and prevent software issues. Responsibilities and Duties Analyzing users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility Collaborate closely with other team members and departments Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression) Design and develop automation scripts when needed Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies Provide timely solutions Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle Provide support and documentation Key Skills Basic knowledge of Database/ SQL, Basic knowledge of Linux commands, Knowledge and hands-on experience of a Test Management Tool, Knowledge and hands-on experience of any Defect Tracking tool, Knowledge and hands-on experience of any Defect Tracking tool, There is also a lot of scope for performance testing tools because applications need to be tested for their performance which is a part of non-functional testing. Required Experience and Qualifications Experience in software testing 1.5 years The academic background of a software tester should be in Computer Science. A BTech/ B.E., MCA, BCA, BSc- Computers.
