Job Description

Responsibilities * Studying, researching and planning various styles of furniture design * Finding ways to improve furniture items already manufactured * Staying informed about design trends and developments * Selecting suitable materials, which might include wood, metal, plastic and textiles * Discussing designs with clients for custom ordering or with manufacturers * Generating sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD), card models, sketches or hard prototypes using software packages such as AutoCAD, Inventor, solidWorks and Photoshop. * Preparing detailed final designs *Organising plans and schedules with respect to the availability of resources *Attending workshops, seminars and training on various types of manufacturing and furniture design. Requirements * A lot of your time will be spent in a design studio or workshop but you may have to travel to visit clients and suppliers, and to attend meetings and trade shows. * If you are a self-employed designer, you could share a workshop with other designers to help reduce costs. * Must have a high level of skills and the ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities, understand the importance of doing quality work, adhere to the standards to prevent errors, and work effectively with a high volume workload to reach the desired results * Able to present ideas effectively in formal and informal situations. Listens well to others and clarifies message to ensure understanding. Keeps manager, co-workers and clients informed of need-to-know items; shares complete and accurate information with others. * Able to learn from experiences of self and others to solve problems and identify new solutions, sharing knowledge generously * Maintains an awareness of conditions that affect employee safety and consistently behaves in a safe manner and encourages others to do the same * Must be able to travel in all types of to various client, locations or remote work sites, which may include overnight and weekend travel * Proficiency reading blueprints, architectural drawings, structural drawings, and other project plans * 10 Years experience with reputed company * Ensuring timely achive assigned targets * Work to continuously improve set up times, speed and waste.  * 3 Years Indemnity bond compulsory . * Art and design, 3D design or spatial design
