Job Description

To support Integrally Geared compressor sales in the Asia Pacific region by developing project specific selling propositions and assisting with technical expertise the Sales Managers. Process starts from pre-acquisition activities to handover to project execution team. Scope includes all technical aspects of proposed equipment, and partially development of costs and support to Sales Managers for commercial aspects as required. Assist Sales Managers in customer meetings as required with technical expertise of the Siemens compressor product capabilities and features. We make real what matters. This is your role As Proposal Manager (f/m/d) you will be responsible for tender preparation, tender coordination and tender tracking of complex turbo compressor projects for our international customers in the air separation industry, oil gas, metallurgy and chemicals. -In addition, you will analyze customer requirements and translate them into a competitive offer with the involvement of an interdisciplinary team of engineers and business people. Design turbo compressors with the aid of technical calculation programs. Check the technical feasibility of the machine concepts you develop and identify project risks or opportunities. Determine the costs and the associated delivery time for the scope of delivery you have planned. Continuously monitor the project status and independently ensure target-oriented and complete communication within the project team and the cooperating specialist departments. Conduct project negotiations together with the sales team at home and abroad and represent your quotation to the customer as quotation project manager. Responsible for handing over the order to the project management and the engineering departments in charge. Conceptual solution development, including project screening, to develop unique selling propositions for all opportunities the business proposes (may be in consultation with Sales Managers as required) Support Sales Managers in negotiation and technical presentation of the proposed solution to the customers Prepare technical LoA and comply with LOA process for each firm offer/contract, including drafting of technical comments to client specs and gaining Product Manager approval.
