Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement and operate a reliable, scalable, and cost efficient Genapsys cloud solution
• Implement security measures into web application as well as Cloud and local network 
• Ensure maximum uptime of cloud hosted environments, including production, staging, testing and development environments.
• Assist in implementation of security and infrastructure (compute, network, storage) best practices and initiatives at all levels of the cloud platform.
• Create multi-zone, multi-region, hybrid and multi-cloud network architecture, design and implementation
• Provide technical guidance, standards, knowledge and understanding of processes, and tools to deliver Internet facing products & services and back-end solutions.
• Ownership, management, architecture, design and implementation of microservices, serverless models, containers, and Kubernetes orchestration for efficient and cost optimized processing. 
• Ownership and support of configuration management and deployment automation tools on GCP and AWS.
• Ownership and support of network and web applications monitoring tools 
• Ownership and support of Cloud Security management tools.
• Enable CI/CD and pipeline automation with Jenkins and other tools for DevOps 
• Implement logging and cost management solutions
• Implement automation of service delivery
• Enable Infra-as-code capabilities 
• Assist in monitoring and controlling spend rate.

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.S. in computer science or related field
• 5+ years experience managing complex cloud infrastructure and web applications with at least  3+ years in a senior role architecting cloud infrastructure and solutions   
• 2+ years experience in automation
• Must have advanced knowledge of GCP and AWS (IaaS & PaaS) from an architecture, design, deployment, administrative and usability perspective
• 3+ years  knowledge of networking technology including subnetting, layers of the OSI model, and load balancing, with ability to define cloud network strategy and skills to architect, design and implement networking solutions.
