Job Description

Role and Responsibility ⨀ Working with multi-disciplinary team of geoscientists and engineers responsible for managing the reservoir health and maximizing hydrocarbon production. ⨀ Daily well/reservoir monitoring and identify short term production optimization opportunities without obstructing production targets. ⨀ Recommend and plan well intervention/data acquisition opportunities and interpret the acquired data with classical reservoir engineering methods along with software workflow. ⨀ Conducting reservoir evaluations, predominantly using classical analytical engineering methods and dynamic simulation where appropriate ⨀ Interface with PE and site operations team in daily well monitoring and intervention opportunities. ⨀ Frequent site visits for smooth well operations. ⨀ Monthly data preparation for internal and external stake holders. ⨀ Attend technical peer review and peer assist sessions where ever required ⨀ Mentoring and coaching/training junior members of the team. Requirements and Experience ⨀ As a minimum, we expect the candidate to have a Degree in Petroleum engineering (a higher level degree is desirable) and relevant experience in a senior role. ⨀ 11+ years hands-on experience; should be able to provide operational reservoir engineering support to subsurface team managing production/injection wells including data acquisition, dynamic data interpretation and well test analysis. ⨀ Good understanding of all artificial lift techniques used in Cairn portfolio (jet pump/ESP/PCP/SRP) ⨀ Should have relevant experience in production optimization, artificial lift optimization, working with network models and Integrated asset management workflows ⨀ Should be able to support the subsurface team in taking reservoir management decisions aimed at maximizing production and recovery through integration of data and analysis by application of appropriate reservoir engineering tools and techniques ⨀ Water / polymer flood experience would be preferred.
