Job Description

ROLE: Field visits within Surat to Surat based manufacturers of Sarees. This involves spending a few hours on a daily basis meeting unknown manufacturers and understanding their products. (This is largely a field role - the candidate will be spending a significant time in the field.) Identifying newer vendors online and talking to them. Helping with product and catalog shortlisting and selection. Preparing Daily field visit reports. Working on and coordinating with the manufacturers / brands in taking them online – which involves working on their writeups and descriptions, standardized input and description formats, promotional banners and strategies, and ensuring adequate business with them. REQUIRED BACKGROUND: Must be willing to travel locally and within Surat's markets to meet and identify new vendors. Must be able to cold-call or visit any new vendor without any introduction. Must have a good aesthetic sense - and appreciation of design. Must have a strong interest in field-level business development. Must have very solid communication skills - and ability to represent the organization well and lucidly, and in a presentable way. Must be good at negotiating and closing business deals. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior business development experience will be useful. Must be self-motivated and driven, and capable of applying self deadlines to closing them. Must have a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in any applicable field - including Fashion related, Commerce / Business related, or others
