Project Engineer

Job Description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities : Prepare and maintain Project Schedule on a regular basis. Co-ordinate with clients for techno-commercial issues (related to the exchange of engineering documents, drawings, organizing meeting, issuing minutes of meeting, invoicing and payments etc.) Assist in procurement assistance activities: Floating enquiries and subsequent activities till the completion of technical bid evaluation and follow up with clients until the placement of purchase orders to vendors i. e the complete procurement cycle. Generating purchase requisitions and follow up with the Purchase department until the placement of purchase order. Co-ordinate with various disciplines for timely submission of engineering deliverables of good quality to clients. Coordinate with vendors after the placement of purchase orders till the deliveries to sites. Assist in creating and maintaining progress reports of projects for submission to clients and to monitor the progress of the projects. Assist in creating and maintaining internal reports for management reviews. Monitor the cost of Projects. Any other work/job assigned from time to time. Desired Profile: Engineering Graduate (preferably a "Mechanical Engineer") 4 to 6 years of experience in similar industry, firms providing design and engineering services and having hands on experience in project coordination and related activities. Customer oriented approach. Well organized and methodical. Dependable. Good communication and presentation skills. Good inter-personal and relationship-building skills. Exposure to cross-functional activities. Experience of working in multi-disciplinary project teams.
