General Manager - Drilling

Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -Lead the Well construction set up of New Ventures unit (Onshore / Offshore Blocks) -Responsible for heading the Well construction operations through Integrated partner approach or otherwise -Manage, direct, lead and provide support to the new ventures department, including planning business objectives, integrated fit for purpose policies, functions and operations between departments, -Assess and review the good construction Capex of the programs and monitor the implementation of capital expenditures -Chair / participate in the senior level management review meetings and also drive the integrated contract governance framework -Manage various stages of E&A lifecycle campaign including scoping, integrated partner selection, deployment and subsequently ensuring that execution objectives are achieved -Fully understand the technicalities of E&A well construction campaign and ensure that business objectives are aligned -Play a pivotal role in conceptualizing the Integrated PMC partner to deploy requisite governance and assurance processes -Support the business unit for delivering early monetization (production) initiatives -Suggest and review for technically robust solutions for inclusion in Field development plans, post-discovery, and commerciality -Manage interface with key technical members of both external (Partners etc) and internal stakeholder teams (Exploration - Subsurface, PE, HSE, etc.) -Provide the highest level of advocacy for a safe working environment throughout the operations at all times to drive the operations for continual improvements in all business areas. -Ensure the implementation of corrective actions on non-compliances in the Well construction Operations, Quality and HSE Systems. -Ensure internal quality and HSE Audits are carried out and corrective actions are implemented. -Ensure that operations comply with the local government regulations and company policies, covering but not limited to, Compliance, Quality Management, and HSE Systems. -Review departmental staffing plans to ensure that resources are adequate for the attainment of business plan & objectives. -Review and plan the training needs of all personnel, and ensure that employees reach the required level of skill and knowledge, which includes a management development program to meet company goals.
